HARD PE PRESSURE PIPES

Fields of application:
The sizes and make-up of hard PE pipes for constructing general-purpose pipe lines and of those for potable water pressure pipe networks are the same.

Fields of application:
construction of potable water pressure pipe networks
pipe lines for liquid chemicals
pipe lines for fluids
The life span of a professionally constructed hard PE pipe line placed under the ground, with operational temperatures below 20°C and the operational pressure level being accordance with the pressure level of the product, is 100 years.

Standard, certificates:
MSZ EN 12201
OVF 356
AR 016-05/1974-2002 (gas industry utilisation certificate valid for Romania)

Make-up:
The hard PE pipes are manufactured from linear PE raw materials with strenght features of PE 80 (MRS-8) and PE 100 (MRS-10). The pipes with diameters of ø20-125 mm are manufactured in coils, whereas those with diameters above ø110 in lengths of 12 /18 m. The colour of the hard PE pressure pipes is usually black with blue identification marking for the waterpipes.

Technical characteristics of application:
The pipes:
have excellent strenght features
have no harmful effects on health (a major advantage for water-pipes as opposed to those made from PVC)
easy to weld and work with
resistant to corrosion
shock absorbent and cold resistant up to -40°C
easy to install and construct pipe systems.

Water and other pipe networks can be constructed by welding and/or by using standard fittings which can be purchased together with the pipes.

Transportation, storage:
External mechanical damage is to be avoided when transporting or storing the pipes. Large quantities of lengths are transported in unit piles. Black pipes can be stored in the open air without any restriction up to 18 months. After longer periods of storage utilisation is subject to quality tests.
